Darlene Deacon has worked as a news reporter at KIDK-TV - a CBS affiliate -in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She covered crime and investigative pieces. She also enjoyed the more technical stories at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL formerly known as INEEL) as the INL Special Reporter. She later produced the 6 & 10pm news for KIDK.
Darlene got her start in television news as a writer at FOX's WSVN-TV Channel 7 in Miami. She was as a newscast copy writer and assisted producers in any way needed.
Darlene has also co-hosted with nationally known radio talk show host, Dick Farrel and was a fill-in host for the same show.

Darlene Deacon is also a character actress and a member of the Screen Actors Guild. She has appeared in several television productions. Her past credits include a featured role in a FOX television series called "Super Force" and a movie made for USA Network television entitled "Red Wind." Darlene has performed in a number of other films and television shows. She is also listed on Actors Access, which is accessible for Talent Agents and Casting Directors through Breakdown Express.
Ms. Deacon has also written and edited many publications and marketing materials for the Barry Financial Corporation’s marketing division in Boca Raton, Florida.
Darlene was born in Waltham, Massachusetts and grew up in logging country in Downeast Maine. She says with a smile on her face, "They took away my ballet shoes and handed me an axe when I was nine."
At the age of twenty-four, Darlene found her paternal father, Robert Paul Deacon, who never knew she existed. That's when she changed her name so she could finally have her father's last name. She also asked him to giver her a new middle name of his choosing. She is now Darlene Roberta Deacon.
Darlene is also an avid gardener in South Florida and a member of the Garden Club of Lighthouse Point.
